Candice Martin is a local artist who primarily paints watercolors and
acrylics, along with creating unique pyrography pieces. She has been
painting watercolors and acrylics for over 20 years, and has been around
pyrography since her childhood. She loves creating a wide variety of pieces and finds there are a myriad of subjects to choose from in our everyday lives. She is also a member of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina, the Yadkin Arts Council, and the Ashe Arts Council. She has participated in a variety of art shows throughout the state, including the Eye of the Artist Juried Show at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center, an exhibition at the Turchin Center for the Arts at Appalachian State University, and the 72nd and 79th Annual Juried Exhibitions of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina, as well as solo exhibitions at the Red Wall Gallery at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center and the Jayebird Gallery at Hanging Rock State Park. Candice placed 2nd in the watercolor division of the Rock Spring Art Show at the Reynolds Homestead in Critz, Virginia and had the honor of having her design selected by JDH Iron Designs (Jimmy Don from the show Fixer Upper) in a national submission for production in the company’s holiday line.
